We expect our teams to work responsibly, follow site procedures, understand hazards and raise concerns promptly.
Real risks, in real orchard environments.
Horticultural work can involve physical activity, tools, vehicles, machinery, weather, uneven ground and repetitive tasks. Everyone on site has a role in keeping the workplace safer.
Where applicable, our teams are expected to comply with both Dubb Horticulture requirements and the health and safety procedures of the client site. Where the two differ, the stricter requirement applies.
What we expect on every site.
Personal protective equipment
Workers use task-appropriate PPE, correctly, wherever the role or the site requires it.
Hazard awareness
Vehicles, machinery, tools, uneven surfaces, manual handling, weather and other site-specific hazards.

Incident reporting
Injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions and equipment issues reported promptly, not at the end of the week.
Responsible working
Follow reasonable instructions, use equipment correctly, respect worksite rules and avoid unsafe behaviour.

Continuous improvement
We improve through communication, site observations, worker feedback, supervision and client cooperation.
Working to the client's site requirements.
Beyond our own expectations, workers may also be required to follow client induction, biosecurity, equipment, access and emergency procedures for the orchard they are on.
Before work
Site induction, hazard walk-through and confirmation of the day's task.
During work
Supervision on site, PPE in use, instructions followed, concerns raised as they arise.
After an incident
Reported promptly to both Dubb Horticulture and the client site, then reviewed.
Biosecurity
Client biosecurity and hygiene procedures followed as directed on each orchard.
